Okay!! It's the STOMP post agn. not very jingbao one. very typical STOMP.sg posts. D: Cuz no scandalous photos for us to take.

I was shopping at Bukit Panjang Plaza for clabs for "eat-with-your-family" day. And as I was heading home with my live clabs, I saw this group of NJC students meddling with a NEWLY INSTALLED MENTOS DISPENSING MACHINE. So saw this (super cute) guy (cuter than CLB) inserting a coin inside the machine.
And then a girl pressed VERY HARD on the start button. (if I'm not wrong I think I overheard that her name is floorball_auntie) And, as if mentos doesn't cost a single cent, little packs of mentos started flowing out from the machine.
And after fully utilizing the one dollar inserted, the NJC students left the machine with LOTS of mentos. Uber satisfied. So I decided to give it a try too. And goodness gracious me, about 1/4 of the total tank flowed out. So if you noticed, the machine was actually filled initially, and after only two rounds of dispensing, it's half-emptied. What a great deal!

Anyways, today during Chem prac, I received a phone scam.

We were ATTENTIVELY listening to Ms. Lim during lesson when this weird number, 666 666, called me!

I was TOO FRIGHTENED to answer the call.

Luckily for me, I had the brave Frederick beside me. He answered the call immediately without hesitation!

At this instant, there was complete silence.

The silence was defeaning.

Frederick experienced the most difficult 1.423seconds of his life.

He was in a dilemma, to talk or not.

He was battling within himself!

And finally, he plucked up courage and said.........
"Hello?"

The act began.

"爸！救我啊！爸！"

Not only that, there was a lot of talking at the background.

Frederick shuffles through his mind to recall when did he not use safety measures and conceived successfully.

However, after much thought, he realised he hasn't done it before, so it was impossible for him to have a child!

The act was totally convincing (except for the overly matured voice calling out).

Had not for Frederick's quick-witted thinking, he would've believed the caller.

Nevertheless, as the timid him, he quickly hung up.

He was in a state of shock.

Lucky for him, I was there to calm his nerves.

After much discussion, we decided that it was afterall - a scam.

At this time, we remembered the briefing about phone scams one fine day morning in the hall!

We immediately (actually only during the half time) informed Ms. Lim!

Nevertheless, realising that there wasn't much threat, we decided to let the matter rest.

Being adventurous, we decided to call the number, 666 666.

And what happened was totally unexpected...

Did the caller answer the call?

Will we get scammed?

Before I begin to comprain and put up some pictures of some ugly acts by youngsters nowadays, let's define STOMP.

verb: to have picture taken unknowingly and posted on an online server
e.g.: AHHH, don't fool around alr, later kena STOMP.

Oh wells, let me begin to bring in the unglamourous pictures.

One day when I was heading home, this NJ COUPLE was occupying the seats and was totally oblivious to their surroundings! A laopopo boarded the crowded bus and couldn't find a seat!!! And she took off her shoes to sit on the ground, at the turning area of those twin carriage kinda bus. (This really happened)
Commuters expressed their disappointment. And that wasn't all! Look what's next!

Same couple! KEPT CHATTING LOUDLY during the whole bus journey from Orchard Rd to BP.
Annoyed commuters. But that's not all!

The couple then had some mutual repulsion kinda effect. And the guy's head was protruding out of his seat and blocked the passageway. Can you see a lot of passengers standing up? They all couldn't get past that guy! Lucky me, who managed to do so, I was able to capture this ugly act on my camera-less phone.
Again, the disappointed and annoyed commuters are very photogenic.

Anyway here comes a scary one. I give it a NC16 rating. Please close this window immediately if you're below the age of 16 and come back a few years later.

It has been not long ago when Ms Auntie Tissue Paper, also known as Carline, abandoned her sex partner (Tweety bird) to seek for true love... She wanted someone to fulfill her desires not just physically but something else more. Her search began - she searched high and low, left and right and finally she found HIM just besides her all along! It was the Mr NeoNeo whom she thinks is little and cute. From then she named her self as Mrs NeoNeo.

It was hard to believe but their love for each other seemed predestined... from last year.

And unknowingly, she has been preying on cute little NeoNeo since then. She really loved him to bits and pieces.

So from someone who is unglam, she changed...

to become someone who is very conscious of her behaviour and takes care of her etiquette.

But just like in the dramas, their love journey did not progress as expected...

Mr NeoNeo has a close ex girlfriend known as Ms Dracula whom he just cant forget.

Once, they were so close that everyone was waiting to attend their wedding banquet. But everything was destroyed when Ms Dracula fell in love with Mr Tree Branch... A picture will illustrate all.

Mr NeoNeo was very heartbroken to see all this and he began to suffer from Appression (Opp. from Depression). Mrs NeoNeo saw this and was excited as she decided to bring Mr NeoNeo for a vacation with the intention of stealing away his virginity. Everything was meant to be keep under wrapped.. but luckily their rendevous was caught!

This trip to Pasir Ris managed to get their relationship to get anchored and Mr NeoNeo started to fall in love with Mrs Neo Neo and peeped at her whenever he grapped hold the opportunity.

Will Mr NeoNeo and Mrs NeoNeo relationship last?

Or will there be another thrid party coming out?

Will there be another twist of events, with Ms Dracula coming to snatch Mr NeoNeo back?

yep, chalet is over! our debut chalet was VERY SUCCESSFUL. thank you for those who went and paid $$. :) here's some pics abt the chalet!

2.20pm - we just missed the shuttle bus. and everyone's starting to get tired. bags were thrown onto the floor. erm, ivan and mw (shitting :D)
2.25pm - er, 5mins passed and shuttle bus was nowhere to be seen! everyone slacking. and erm, mw.... (going to clean his butt)
2.30pm - the girls started to take photos but giant finger tries to block the camera!!! but to no avail.
2.35pm - giant finger was gone and they successfully took the pic!

2.40pm - our legs. guess whose leg is it!!! HINT: look at the toes' width, should be quite clear then. answer will be revealed in the next post! :D

Hey ppl! I really wanna thank all those ppl who turned up for cip this morning. Thanks for taking e effort to come early, I really really appreciated it. i hope we can keep this up. Jia you! :)
For those who didnt turn up, all i wanna say is for e past few cip briefings i had been closing one eye. Im not gonna pinpoint who are those ppl who always dun turn up for the briefing but i hope that since we are doing the class iniated project we should do it as a class. I dun see how we can co-ordinate the whole activity if we ourselves cant even get the members to come together and work towards the goal. Everyone plays a significant role in this project and every single one of your attendance matters a lot to me. I am not asking everyone to turn up for my sake but i just feel that it will not be fair for those who has faithfully turn up for the briefings.Thats all Im gonna say. once again I wanna thank those ppl who has turned up for every cip briefing. It is really encouraging when i see there are still ppl who cares bout cip. keep it up! ((:hehe

hey everyone!

this is about the Youth for Causes project that Nicholas, Catherine, 20+ other class /other school people and I are doing. we are hoping that the class can help in the event as volunteers as we are currently rather short of them.

we are organising a charity carnival that will be held at Pasir Ris on 5th August ( sunday). food stalls and games boothes will be set up and there will be performances as well. we are selling carnival tickets priced at $4 each to raise fund for Make A Wish Foundation. Its a world wide organisation that aims to grant heartfelt wishes of children that have life-threatening illnesses. For more information of the organisation, can log on to www.makeawish.org.sg

We will also be planning a Guiness Record breaking attempt to string the longest chain of aluminium cans.

so there is a few areas where we hope everyone can help:
1. selling of carnival tickets
2. collecting aluminium cans
3. set up games or food boothes

yap...so do tag if you are interested...
My idea was that we separate the whole class into groups, then we settle all the games boothes.
I just thought, since this charity event is organised by our own classmates, it will really be great if the class can participate. Thanks!!

so we've just finished our 2nd cip in two weeks and one more to go. yeah it's indeed difficult to raise funds from the public. and today's cip was even more challenging, having to sell postcards priced at $5.50.

attendance
nvtheless, i think the organisers will still be very thankful to those who turned up to help raise funds. and now, we'll of course be talking about those who did NOT turn up for the cip. well, it's simple. we signed up for the cip individually. no one forced us, no one is obliged to sign up. even so, we ALL signed up. so since you've sort of promised the organisers that you're participating, then please turn up. who knows, you might be depriving another person of the chance to contribute.

so if you didn't turn up because of a valid reason, you shouldn't be afraid to say it out. therefore, the following ppl who didn't turn up today, you might want to tag on the tagboard abt why you couldn't make it today to justify your actions. of course, you must DU4 DE2 QI3 yourself. if you think that your reason is more impt than the cip that you cannot cannot miss it, then don't hesitate to put it down. (for those whom i know your reasons, don't mind putting them down again, since we should be fair)

i'll update this post, to fill in your reasons if you've tagged on the board. if not, these ppl will be GUILTY until proven innocent. and even if guilty, we can't do anything at all to make you all change, make you all turn up for future cip, but just to let you all reflect about your actions/decisions. and to prove yourself innocent, please state the reason that you won't DUI4 BU4 QI3 your conscience. [if you didn't tag before 8/6/07, you'll be GUILTY]

even if your reason is SO SO SO SO "VALID" (i.e. innocent) like, going overseas or whatever, then have you given this cip some respect? like not even considering or keeping it in mind and scheduling things that will clash with the cip.

seriously, this is the first time i've heard of not turning up for cip. maybe it's becuz in sec school, our teachers organise the activities and we MUST turn up. just think, when we signed up for the cip, it was as a class. if you've taken a close look at the list of participants, each fund-raising date will have the whole list of participants and their contact no. but for 2/6/07 and 9/6/07, only carline's contact no. was printed there. so if anyone did not turn up for their cip, they would be held responsible and they would be in trouble (if any). but for us, if any of us did not turn up, the only person that the organiser will contact will be carline.

so just spare a thought for others. just like the SISC meal helper day. i was "put i/c" and thought that i had so much responsibility that everyone has to turn up in time, etc. but in the end i realised i'm just a msg relay. i'll just repeat whatever that the organiser told me to everyone. [fyi, she commented that we were "very unenthu and looked reluctant to do the job"]

well, it's the same thing, since you signed up for it, then do it. i didn't personally sign up for the meal helper duty, but since it has to be done, then do it. you've signed up for the cip, do it. carline is not obliged to do these for all of you. but imagine it, if w/o her, will there be someone to coordinate our cip and communicate with the organisers? everything can be pushed to the ct and house affiliate, but why is she doing this? and if you rmb, i don't think cip rep is a compulsory position in the class. so, NO RECOGNITION, NO REWARD, why is she doing this?

at least i got to be a msg relay for the SISC duty to make sure that everyone got the msg. i don't think carline even got to be the msg relay, since the relayed msg gets stuck somewhere when it's passed down. two msgs were passed down in the past two days, maybe you all will like to point out if you've received the msg or not. so that we know the culprit.

a civics rep just has to do admin things
a house affiliate just has to be enthu abt house stuff
a ne ambassador just has to be busy for some periods of the yr
a house cap just needs the enthusiasm of some ppl to be successful
and even a cca leader has subordinates under him/her to coordinate things
but a cip rep needs the coorperation from every single person

todays cip was a success in the end with everyone having coins jingling in their tins. good job everyone! thanks to all those who turned up especially those who gave their best :)

before it all started, gotta say there were some bumps initially. we sure can learn that we have to be accountable for all we do right? sign up and keep to it, if we cant make it just drop a note to the ic early. sometimes we just anyhow sign up, so just see that most ppl who anyhow sign up will actually turn up and we can just drag ourselves there for a few hours. unless its really urgent!

in organising stuffs, it is very very very impt to have the support of your closest ppl who are basically your classmates. sometimes we have to look at the bigger picture other than ourselves yeah? xD like the reps need ppl to hand stuff in on time too ;p

relay smses are meant to be relayed. so do keep to it.

PLUS dont think you alone cant make a difference to anything, cuz you never know what one persons actions may have a gigantic effect on others. but in the event we decide to take a different course of action from others, we have to know its not exactly too right after all! no use justifying misdeeds.

wellll.. this is on behalf of anyone who ever encounters the slightest difficulty in calling everyone to listen to them :)

we can all do our part to make everything S12 do a whopping success. thats what everyone wants w/o doing anything but we have to do something even if its just a little. just dont do nothing!

well, so you all have read the previous post. yes 530 is shocking, etc. thanks to those who accepted it and didn't complain.

okay, so now you see the place where we're supposed to report to. yes, at 530. AM. it's called Prince George's Park Residences and where we're supposed to report is the cafe near the tennis courts. you see 5 tennis courts (in green) on the pic, the cafe is around there. obviously you don't walk towards the road, but into the hostel. for more info, please go to http://www.nus.edu.sg/campusmap/ and the PGP is located at the bottom right corner.

i think it'll be very difficult to catch a bus on that day. and i think the place can only be accessed by NUS shuttle bus service. but i don't think the shuttle service will be available that early.

5 ppl will be needed on SUN, report to the same place at 5-6pm for dinner. pls volunteer if you can make it.

okay, this sounds demanding or whatever. but since you all signed up, confirmed, then just do it. the i/c said she'll ask for CIP hrs. what else can i say, SERVICE WITH HONOUR. other than that, complain all you want or say you don't wanna go, but nothing's going to change.
